On 16 and 17 September took place the last meeting of the project. The partners finished the last details of the project and figured out how to continue and implement the results.

The “New European common qualifications of Heritage Interpretation in tourism sector” conference is organized by Diesis coop and supported by EARTH (the European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality) on Thursday 17th of September 2015 in Brussels from 9.30 until 13.15.

The conference is realised in the framework of the European project “Interpreting our European Heritage”, financed with the Life Long Learning program for a period of 2 years, leaded by KOAN consulting in Spain and realised in 6 different European countries (Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Belgium and Germany)The conference aims to inform stakeholders and users on quality, relevance and effectiveness of the results of the project, to foster their transfer to decision-makers and their adoption and application by end-users. Indeed, the project main outcome is the creation of the transparency and the recognition of the learning outcomes characterizing the “heritage interpreter" professions, applying and implementing the European tools and frameworks EQF and ECVET, and the definition of two new professional profiles, “Interpretative host” and “Interpretative guide”.

 

In addition, a special focus will be given to realise a statement regarding ECVET system in Europe and Heritage interpretation realized by Interpret Europe, the European network for Heritage Interpretation and associated partner of the project.

Conférence Européenne le 17 septembre – Bruxelles

La conférence “Nouvelles qualifications Européennes communes de l’interprétation du patrimoine dans le secteur du tourisme” est organisée par Diesis coop et soutenue par le réseau européen EARTH (European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality) le Jeudi 17 Septembre 2015 à Bruxelles de 9.30 à 13.15.

La conférence est organisée dans le cadre du projet Européen Interprétons notre patrimoine Européen”, financé par le programme Life Long Learning program pendant une période de 2 ans, dirigé et géré par KOAN consulting en Espagne et dévéloppé dans 6 différents pays Européens (Autriche, Italie, Slovénie, Espagne, Belgique et Allemagne). Cet évènement vise à informer les acteurs et les utilisateurs sur la  qualité, la pertinence et l’efficacité des résultats du projet, et à faciliter leur transfert vers les preneurs de décision ainsi que leur adoption et application par les utilisateurs. En effet, le principal résultat du projet vise à une plus grande transparence et reconnaissance des résultats d’apprentissage caractéristiques des métiers de “l’interprétation du patrimoine”, en appliquant les instruments et cadres européens tels que EQF et ECVET. Comme autre résultat important, les partenaires ont défini deux nouveaux profils professionnels “Hôte Interprète du patrimoine” et “Guide Interprète du patrimoine”.

En outre, Interpret Europe, le réseau Européen pour l’interprétation du patrimoine, partenaire associé au projet, établira un bilan concernant le système ECVET et l’interprétation du patrimoine en Europe.

On 25 June will be held the sixth national infoday and focus group of the European project “Interpreting our European Heritage”.

The event will consist in a presentation of the EU project  “Interpreting our European Heritage”, centered in the developed and proposed professional qualifications “interpretive guide” and “interpretive host“.

This event will be hosted under the format of an European information day and focus group, among the project partners and interested users on project ´s results; in order to inform key actors on quality, relevance and effectiveness of the project results, for their transfer to decision makers and for their adoption and apllication by end users.

Heritage interpretation and animation are essential  in the concept and development of sustainable products and responsible behaviours in tourism. The project is then closely linked to the sustainable and responsible tourism enhancement, using heritage interpretation tools as a way to qualify persons,  destinations, routes, products and experiences in both cultural and natural heritage scenarios.

The info day and focus group will be followed by a open networking.

WHO IS INTERESTED? 

- guides and heritage interpreters under different professiona figures, 
- professionals of heritage management,  sustainable tourism and heritage interpretation,
- site managers and monument managers,
- tourism officers,
- technicians and key staff in cultural and natural destinations management,
- students, teachers and researchers on the above mentioned and related issues.
 
This event will be an open opportunity to share results, applications and proposals of project advances with the project partners

The work will be based on the WP6:"Pilot test on the enforcement of the Memorandum of Understanding- MoU ECVET for the new European sectoral qualifications in tourism "Interpretive Guide" and "Interpretive Host".

Interpret Europe conference 2015: Sensitive heritage - sensitive interpretation.

Interpret Europe, associated partner of our project, will hold in Poland from 6 to 9 June 2015 their annual conference under the theme “Sensitive heritage- sensitive interpretation”.

During the 2015 conference researchers and interpretation practitioners will investigate this 'sensitive heritage', heritage that has the potential to trouble or even distress people and that, therefore, deserves ‘sensitive interpretation’.

The 5th Consortium meeting and national Infoday were successfully held last week with the attendance of the all project partners.

On the first day of the meeting both the Director of Ceneam, Juan Carlos Dueñas Cardiel, and the Councilor of Historical Patrimony and Tourism of Segovia, Claudia de Santos, participated in the event to continue supporting the project.

The meeting ended on 11 December with the National Infoday. It was held in the framework of the Cultural Tourism Forum organized by the Spanish Association of Tourism Professionals (AEPT) with more than 50 participants from the tourist industry.





On 11 December will be held the fourth national infoday of the European project “Interpreting our European Heritage”.

On 11 December will be held the fourth national infoday of the European project “Interpreting our European Heritage” in the framework of  the Cultural Tourism Forum organized by the Spanish Association of Tourism Professionals (AEPT). The aim is to clarify and recognize learning outcomes of professionals linked to the Heritage Interpretation in tourism.
